| MWC08: Microsoft takes MSN Direct from your watch to your phone
I thoroughly enjoy using my T-Mobile Shadow Windows Mobile Smartphone and am also a bit of a fan of the MSN Direct SPOT watches. Microsoft announced a new service and application for Windows Mobile Smartphones (Standard, non-touch screen devices) that is available now for free as a Technology Preview. MSN Direct for Windows Mobile is available now for your compatible device. It does not work on Windows Mobile Professional (touch screen) devices. MSN Direct for Windows Mobile brings you several of the feeds found in the MSN Direct watches, but since the data is being sent over the wireless networks and not over the same FM radio frequency that is used to send data to the watches there are some differences. You will be able to get news stories, weather updates, stock quotes, and sports news sent to you without any interaction necessary on your part.
The Haunting
An electrician snapped a picture of Miss Kate's room before the crew was to begin working on it. He noticed a small wisp in the digital image and showed it to others on the crew. They laughed at him and told him he was paranoid. The next day they brought their own cameras and took pictures in her room. Their images had wisps too."When it came time to work on Miss Kate's room they wouldn't go in there," Herbst said. The crew's foreman had to work on her room by himself.A year ago, Miss Kate appeared in a photograph of work crews raising a corner of the building that had sunk. The snapshot shows the perfect silhouette of a woman in a large piece of plastic sheeting. There she is, plain as day, watching over the workers as they lift her hotel.Over the years workers have told of feeling mysterious cold spots and experiencing other unexplained phenomena, such as wine glasses that break on their own, doors that suddenly lock and lights that come on.The power of suggestion may be responsible for some, if not all, encounters people have had with Miss Kate.
Smartphones Patented... Just About Everyone Sued 1 Minute After Patent ...
I would just like to forewarn everyone that I am going to be filing a new patent that will boldly drive innovation and make me stinking rich while simultaneously crushing the patent industry. I will be patenting 'patents'. Prepare to have your a$$es sued! I will also be filing a patent on the question mark so I can sue anyone that questions me. PS And maybe that inflection at the end of your voice when you ask questions so I have text and speech covered. I'd submit my Samsung a920 cell phone as prior art but that might get Samsung added to the list of targets.

Eye in the sky nabs ocean polluters
It has been an interesting, but uneventful four hours of flying for the four-man crew of Transport Canada's Dash 8 aircraft, a twin turboprop that bristles with high-tech equipment while conducting patrols for marine polluters off B.C.'s west coast. Everyone is gearing up for our arrival back in Vancouver when pilot John Heiler looks down and spots something suspicious -- a commercial fishing boat and a sheen of oil about two kilometres off Discovery Island near Victoria. Heiler and co-pilot Kip Kallweit bank the aircraft into a 60-degree left turn, the G-force dragging me back into my seat. .

Delirious? to release Kingdom of Comfort
The RIAA Certified Gold-selling, globally impacting Christian rock band Delirious? return with their eleventh studio album, Kingdom of Comfort, set to release April 1, 2008 on Sparrow Records. It is the first new studio album since the acclaimed 2005 release, Mission Bell, Delirious?'s Kingdom of Comfort questions everything, from cancer to consumerism, “five star" dreams to slums and poverty. It is an album that calls for sacrifice, social justice and love. Recent tours have taken Delirious? to some of the poorest countries on earth where they've faced encounters with life that made poverty personal and forced hard questions to be asked by each member of the band. The visits have sparked a newfound commitment to social justice and compassionate ministry as an outworking of their being drawn ever closer to the Kingdom of God, as opposed to the kingdom of comfort.
