Headed to CES? Don’t pack your extra Li-Ion batteries!

First it was the nail clippers, then the liquids, now it's rechargeable Lithium batteries. As of January 1, the US Department of Transportation is limiting loose Lithium-Ion batteries in your carry-on luggage, and restricting them altogether in checked luggage. I bet that's been a bummer for the hordes of people flying out for the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. And forget about packing an extra battery for your laptop, cell phone, and camera–you're limited to only two loose batteries in your carry-on. At least the restriction isn't a terrorist threat this time around–according to the DOT press release, the reason for the new restrictions is to reduce the risk of Lithium battery fires (who knew there was such a threat?). It's a drag for folks with big DSLRs who want to pack spare batteries in checked luggage so they don't have to lug them around in their camera bags.

A perfect of a different variety

In a game filled with little to no highlights in the first three quarters, the fourth quarter raised the heart rate at an increasingly rapid pace. Three lead changes in the final few minutes, capped off by two touchdowns, including clutch drive by Eli Manning in the final minute.

The perfect season is still to be had, and this game proved just how hard it is to pull off. As much momentum and respect as the Giants brought into this game, given the (literal) road they had to travel to get to Arizona, it was still almost impossible to see them winning this game.

Fact is, the Patriots seemed quite conservative in this game, and even if they had won, this was not one of their best performances. The offense never got into a sustained rhythm and the Giants defense should get the collective MVP, perhaps shared with Manning based on that last drive.

Ready to roar

A: It's interesting that you ask that, because one of my sources just described Ma as having the leadership abilities of Chairman Mao.

He does have natural leadership abilities. Not only does he have the gift of telling a story well, but I have seen him mesmerize entire audiences at leading industry events. He can light up a room.

It might not be too much of an exaggeration to say that Ma has the charisma of Bill Clinton, the chutzpah of Richard Branson, the marketing genius of Steve Jobs and the fortune of Bill Gates. Ma is one of the few Chinese entrepreneurs with global impact.

Q: Ma's story is fascinating, isn't it?

A: Yes. He rose from a social outcast during Mao's China (because of his family's bourgeois background) to become an English-language schoolteacher and later a rich and famous Internet entrepreneur.

The JERRY BRUCKHEIMER-produced action-adventure co-stars DIANE KRUGER, ED HARRIS, JON VOIGHT and HARVEY KEITEL.

'I Am Legend' rose a spot to reclaim second place, making another $16.3 million. In the big-budget zombie-fest, WILL SMITH fights for survival as the lone human surivor of a worldwide, mutant-brewing plague.
